Fabolous might not understand the need to ask about the price before throwing it in the bag but for the rest of us, when thinking of hiring a lawyer you’ll want to know, “what’s this gonna cost me?” It’s an important question and I believe in being transparent with pricing so that you can determine what you can invest in outsourcing your legal needs.

People often ask whether I charge a retainer. I do not. I also don’t charge for initial consultations — I don’t think figuring out whether we want to work together should require you to pull out your wallet. While we’re on the subject, I don’t count coins for basic communication (simple phone calls or emails) as it’s very important to me that my clients aren’t holding back important questions or information because they’re worried about the bottom line.
